We first met Amanda and Garrett around two years ago in the early stages of their wedding planning. It was a long engagement, so the day had an overwhelming feeling of “finally”. So many of the family, friends, and guests we spoke with were so excited that the day had arrived. Even sitting here now looking through their images I have a hard time believing that the wedding has already come and gone. The eagerly awaited seemed to come at a snail’s pace, but I’m happy to say that it was worth every moment of waiting.
The day began at Salon Jolie with Amanda and the girls, enjoying mimosas while the stylists worked their magic. Garrett oversaw some last minute details at the Silk Mill (he has quite the eye for lantern hanging). And although there were a variety of little hiccups they kept their cool, because this day was a long time coming, and that alone was worth celebrating.
It’s hard for me to say exactly what we love most about Amanda and Garrett. Between their exceptional taste in music and rad dance moves there’s a lot to appreciate. However, I think that most people in attendance at their wedding would say that the best thing about them is how they are as a couple. They manage to be incredibly similar and compliment each other at the same time. They’re equal parts goofy and considerate, humble and hilarious. But the BEST part about them? They both think they’re the luckiest to be married to their best friend.
Congratulations to you both, we’re so happy that your day was so much more than good.
